I’ve never been accused of being speechless. I have decided there are words for everything, and thank God for the ability to use them. I can mine them to understand a bleeding heart, can smooth them to ease burdens, can wield them as weapons in the face of attack. Most importantly, I treasure access to the Word, which never fails when I so often do.

Since words are my currency, the air I breathe, I’m most passionate about using them for the betterment of the world. Online, I run an Instagram account, @mercyinthemargins. My heart is with the busy, the overwhelmed, the ones living the unexpected life. In ministry, I study and teach. In the secular, I coach other speakers and help them craft talks for tailored occasions. My pet project is coaching speakers in my role as a TEDx co-lead organizer in my community. But if you really want to know my pride and joy, it’s writing. My spoken word poems and video scripting have been used for special services and events, and I’m always seeking ways to send that love further.

No matter your reason for finding me (online encouragement, needing that extra nudge or finishing touch to your own professional projects, or just waiting to see what antics another manic mom blogger scrounges up) I’m grateful you spent your valuable time meeting me, today. I look forward to meeting you, too, whether on this side of eternity or the other.
